INGREDIENTS YOU’LL NEED:
2 sticks.Of unsalted butter.
200 grams.Of granulated sugar.
250 grams.Of packed light brown sugar.
One Cup.Of light corn syrup.
Sweetened condensed milk; I used 1 cup.
1 Small spoon.Of vanilla extract.
1/4 small spoon.Of salt.
PREPARATION:
1st Step
Start by lining an 8x8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper or greasing it gently. Reserve it for later use.
2nd Step
In a large receptacle that is microwave-safe, combine the butter, sugars, corn syrup, sweetened condensed milk, and salt. Stir the ingredients until they are thoroughly mixed.
3rd Step
Place the bowl in the microwave and cook for 6 to 8 minutes at high wattage. Always use microwave-safe oven covers or mittens when handling a heated basin. Keep a close watch on the mélange to prevent it from flooding, as microwaves vary.
4th Step
After the initial time in the microwave, remove the utensil from the microwave and blend the mixture. This serves to uniformly distribute the heat. Return the bowl to the microwave and cook for an additional 6 to 8 minutes, or until the caramel has reached the desired color and consistency.
5th Step
After the caramel mixture has been prepared in the microwave, remove it and stir in the vanilla extract.
6th Step
Pour the heated caramel mixture into the prepared baking dish with care, ensuring that it is evenly distributed. If necessary, use a spatula to level the top.
7th Step
Allow the caramels to chill for at least two hours at room temperature or until completely set. For faster refrigeration, store the dish in the refrigerator for approximately one hour.
8th Step
When the caramels have hardened, remove the parchment paper from the baking dish and place the caramel slab on a cutting board. Cut the caramel into bite-sized portions or the desired shape using a pointed knife.
9th Step
Your homemade microwave caramels are now ready to be enjoyed! As a delectable indulgence or as a gift for family and friends, indulge in the rich, buttery caramel bliss.
