TO MAKE PENUCHE FUDGE, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING INGREDIENTS:

2 Cups.Of light brown sugar.

1 Cup.Of granulated sugar.

1 Cup.Of whole milk.

1/2 Cup.Of unsalted butter.

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

1 Cup.Of chopped nuts (such as pecans or walnuts) (optional).

HERE'S A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO MAKING PENUCHE FUDGE:

1st Step

Prepare a pan (8x8) by coating it with parchment paper or greasing it very lightly with butter. Once the fudge has been set, you'll have an easier time removing it.

2nd Step

Stir together the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, whole milk, and unsalted butter in a heavy-bottomed pot. The sugars should be dissolved fully by stirring the liquid over medium heat in the pot.

3rd Step

Once the sugars have dissolved, it's time to cook the mixture by bringing it to a boil. To keep track of the temperature, affix a candy thermometer to the edge of the pot. Soft-ball stage, or 238 degrees Fahrenheit (114 degrees Celsius), is when the mixture is cooked. To avoid burning, stir the ingredients together at regular intervals.

4th Step

Put the pan off the heat and let the mixture sit for approximately 5 minutes to cool. Then, add the vanilla essence and combine it completely with the rest of the ingredients. This will elevate the fudge's scent and taste to new heights.

5th Step

You may use a hand mixer or a wooden spoon to whip the mixture until it thickens and loses its sheen. During this step, known as "creaming," air is incorporated into the fudge, making it creamier and smoother. This procedure typically takes between 5 and 10 minutes.

6th Step

Add nuts now if you want them in your Penuche Fudge. Mix the chopped nuts into the fudge so that they are uniformly distributed.

7th Step

Spoon the fudge batter into the greased baking dish. Level the top with a spatula and smooth it out. The fudge should be cooled to room temperature before serving.

8th Step

To remove the Penuche Fudge from the pan when it has cooled and solidified, use the parchment paper or a butter knife to release the edges. Slice it into tiny squares or rectangles by placing it on a cutting board. The fudge will keep for two weeks at room temperature in an airtight container.
