THE AUTHENTIC WOOLWORTH CHEESECAKE

THE INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

FOR THE CRUST:

2 Cups.Of graham cracker crumbs.

1/2 Cup.Of melted butter.

1/4 Cup.Of granulated sugar.

FOR THE FILLING:

24 oz (3 packages) cream cheese, softened.

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar.

4 large eggs.

1 tsp vanilla extract.

1/4 Cup.Of all-purpose flour.

1 Cup.Of sour cream.

FOR THE TOPPING:

1 Cup.Of sour cream.

2 Tbsp.Of granulated sugar.

1 Tsp.Of vanilla extract.

DIRECTIONS:

1st Step

Mix the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter in a medium basin. Blend until all of the crumbs are covered. Distribute the crumb mixture evenly on the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and press down firmly.

2nd Step

Put the pie crust in the oven and bake for 10 minutes. Take it out of the oven after it's done and let it cool.

3rd Step

Whip the softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl until it is fluffy and smooth. Add the granulated sugar slowly while beating the mixture.

4th Step

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Combine the flour and vanilla extract well. The next step is to include the sour cream and whisk the mixture until it is silky and creamy.

5th Step

After the graham cracker crust has cooled in a springform pan, pour the filling on top. Using a spoon or spatula, even out the contents on top.

6th Step

The sides should be set but the middle should still be somewhat jiggly after 50-60 minutes in the preheated oven. Take the cheesecake out of the oven and let it cool for approximately 10 minutes before serving.

7th Step

Mix the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and sour cream in a separate small basin. And then, once the cheesecake has cooled just a little, sprinkle the topping mixture over the top. The cheesecake has to be baked for another 5 minutes after being removed from the oven.

8th Step

After baking, take the cheesecake out and let it cool to room temperature. Once the cheesecake has cooled, place it in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours and better overnight to set.

9th Step

Carefully take off the sides of the springform pan before serving. Slice the cheesecake and serve it cold. You may jazz it up by serving it with fruit compote, chocolate sauce, or fresh berries.
